    EPS is non-hygroscopic which means it does not readily absorb or retain moisture. Samples recovered from just 200mm above the water table from a project installed in the 1970s had less than 1% water content by volume, whilst EPS which had been periodically entirely submerged showed less than 4% water content.

  • Versatile and Durable:
    EPS is rot-proof making it ideal for direct contact with earth in substructure applications. It does not require dry indoor storage and does not become friable or saturated, giving it the enduring strength essential for long-term structural integrity. According to a Norwegian Public Road Administration report “No deficiencies are to be expected from EPS fill in the ground over a normal life cycle of 100 years”.

  • Environmentally Safe and Recyclable:
